Student Fellowship Opportunities Available
The 2004 IEEE DSP and DSP Ed. Workshop committee is proud to announce
that through corporate
sponsorship a limited number of student fellowships are available for
student author attendees to
the 2004 Workshop. The fellowships are each for $170, which will cover
student registration fees
for the conference. The fellowship money will be applied directly to
registration fees. In order to be eligible to apply for the fellowship,
the student must be:
- A full-time student in good standing at his/her university,
- The first author of an accepted paper at the 2004 IEEE DSP and DSP Ed.
Workshop,
- An attendee at the workshop and presenter of an accepted paper,
- A member or student member of IEEE.
Interested student authors must submit no later than May 26, 2004,
the following:
- Copy of curriculum vitae,
- One page essay stating his/her career plans in DSP. The essay should
include:
- The student's name,
- The title of the accepted paper of which the student is first
author,
- The student's university,
- The student's IEEE membership number,
- The student's email address,
- A statement describing the student's career plans in DSP (no more
than 250 words).
In addition, students must arrange to have submitted separately, no later
than May 26th,
- Proof of full-time student status (short email sent directly from
registrar or department
official is acceptable). The student's name should go in the subject
field.
- Letter of recommendation from his/her advisor (to be emailed
directly from advisor). The
student's name should appear in the subject field.
Accepted formats include plain text, Microsoft word, or .pdf.
Completed entries received by the due date will be judged by the workshop
committee and/or their
designates.
Winning submissions will be announced June 1, 2004 and winners will be
notified via email.
